Summoner Love ("we", "our", "us") operates the dating and friendship platform available at summoner-love.vercel.app. We are committed to protecting your personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

• Account data: email address, name, profile photo (from OAuth providers or uploaded by you), password (hashed)
• Profile data: age, bio, League of Legends rank, server, role, photos, location (optional, only with your consent)
• Usage data: swipe history, matches, messages, likes
• Payment data: processed by Stripe — we do not store card details
• Technical data: IP address, browser type, device info (for security and rate limiting)

• To provide the matchmaking service and enable connections between users
• To send transactional emails (verification, match notifications, password reset)
• To process payments for Premium subscriptions via Stripe
• To prevent abuse, spam, and enforce our Terms of Service
• To improve the platform based on aggregated, anonymised analytics

• Contract performance — providing the service you signed up for
• Legitimate interests — security, fraud prevention, service improvement
• Consent — location sharing, marketing emails (you can withdraw at any time)

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with:

• Neon (database) — PostgreSQL hosting
• Vercel — hosting and edge network
• Upstash — Redis caching
• Stripe — payment processing
• Resend — transactional email delivery
• Riot Games API — to verify League of Legends accounts (read-only)

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, all personal data is permanently deleted within 30 days, except where we are legally required to retain it (e.g. billing records for 7 years per EU tax law).

We use strictly necessary cookies for authentication (session token). We ask for your consent before setting any optional analytics cookies. You can manage your preferences via the cookie banner.

Summoner Love is strictly for users aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If you believe a minor has registered, please contact us immediately.

We may update this policy. We will notify you by email or in-app banner for material changes. Continued use after notification constitutes acceptance.
